White bean burgers

My first experiment with making veggie burgers at home. Came out quite tasty, but not very cohesive. Will try mashing beans more on the next round. May also use 2 egg whites instead of 1 whole egg (want to make custard anyway...). We had these as patties with relishes, etc., also under fried eggs with salad and toast for brunch, and crumbled and fried as a burrito filling.

Many flavor variations possible!

Mix
1 c. cooked bulger, cooled
1 can cannelini beans
1 c. finely chopped veggies (used green pepper and broccoli florets from the garden :) )
1/2-1 Tbs. fresh chopped garlic
1-2 tsp dried onion bits and onion powder
1-2 Tbs fresh parsley
2 tsp fennel seeds
Generous shakes each of: nutritional yeast, paprika, black pepper, rubbed sage, celery seeds

Add, mash, and mix with hands to form patties
Adequate Braggs to salt
1-2 Tbs tahini
1-2 tsp. adobo sauce (or liquid smoke if you don't want the bite)
1 egg (or 2 egg whites)

Fry the patties, or store wrapped in wax paper and a container till ready to use.
